ImageVue
ImageVue is an online gallery for viewing images in a good-looking, yet functional layout. It is easy to setup - and to update your gallery with new images , you only have to upload them to your server. Everything else is automatic...
This is the most effective and stylish image gallery I have came across, it truely is easy to set up and run on a basic level and there is no real need for a knowledge of Flash or ActionScript to install and run the application.
A number of the visual elements can be simply changed by adjusting one .xml file, giving flexability of the design view, such as backgrounds, text and colors. Further personalisation can added as the original .Fla file is included in the download, although some knowledge of Flash and ActionScript is required to manipulate this file.
ImageVue is accompanied with a backend PHP content management, which allows the direct upload of images to the site, automatically producing thumbnails on the fly, as well as other administrative processes , such as adding comments etc...
Overall I think ImageVue
is an excellent program and should be considered by anyone looking to show their images, photography or simple snaps, it should be noted that in order to use all of the features this application needs to run off a Linux server, with all permissions set to 'read, write and execute' as well as GD2 extension enabled.
