ZoneAlarm is an easy to use Firewall program. The average user can configure rules and permissions with no real difficulty. It gives the user the ability to block websites, IP address, and any other attacks that may come your way.
When a new program attempts to access the internet ZoneAlarm alerts the user about the program with a fairly descriptive alert, and gives the user the option to allow or deny access.
There is the odd occasion when a user will inadvertently block themselves from the internet completely. In that case it's as easy as removing any rules you have created.
